Job Description
This growth oriented position will have the primary responsibility of providing the full range of fund administration services to Hedge Funds. This individual will be responsible for understanding and applying current accounting principles to the accounting and financial reporting of funds and for reviewing transaction and valuation information. A partial list of responsibilities and skills includes:
Core Requirements (Both Levels)
- Strong grounding in accounting and fund accounting principles
- Experience in NAV preparation, reconciliations, and period-end processes
- Exposure to diversified fund structures (e.g. PE, RE, Hedge, or multi-asset funds)
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple deliverables, and meet tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and good documentation discipline
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
Value-Added Experience
- Experience handling Japanese (JP) clients, or working with Japan-based stakeholders
- Direct client-facing experience, including emails/calls and day-to-day queries
- Prior involvement in audit coordination with auditors
- Exposure to financial statement preparation (statutory or investor reporting)
- Involvement in audit processes (internal and/or external), including audit queries and support
Qualifications
Associate
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in accounting or fund accounting
- Able to prepare fund deliverables with supervision
- Basic exposure to audits and financial statements
Senior Associate
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting or fund accounting
- Strong understanding of end-to-end fund processes
- Able to handle audits, financial statements, and client communication with minimal supervision
- Comfortable acting as a point of contact for clients and auditors
