Job Purpose:

• In the Cluster Delivery Organization, Business Specialists, Business Experts, Engineer Specialists, Engineers, and Product Owners work together in a team. Agile methods help employees perform their functions by enabling a fast and flexible response to changing conditions and customer needs through an iterative approach and continuous development of new solutions.
• This approach aims at better products, higher quality, more efficient processes and faster implementation. This will ensure that valuable functionalities are delivered to the customer and that existing products, processes and services are further developed in a customer-oriented manner.
• In order to achieve this, the employees work autonomously, independently and self-organized. For this purpose, team members are given responsibility for all processes and systems that are necessary for the responsible products, processes and services. Open communication between team members ensures regular and timely feedback. This enables the rapid detection and correction of errors, so-called "Fail Fast", enabling rapid response to changing conditions and customer needs through iterative action.
• The engineer has a basic technical orientation and acts in the role of the Cell Member.
• He has an agile and digital mindset that he always adapts to the current requirements using the appropriate development options.
• The engineer is used where his knowledge and experience is needed. It is therefore flexible in terms of use in different cells and chapters, even across cluster boundaries.

Key Activities:

• Development and implementation of digital strategies, ensuring the core infrastructure of products, services, processes and systems, consistent introduction of innovative technologies, and development and expansion of the use of digital channels
• Application and further development of the necessary competencies for the construction of new future-oriented digital architecture
• Participate in a cross-functional team to complete all the tasks required to deliver the relevant products, services, processes and systems
• Product portfolio management and control, implementation and further development of one or more products, services, processes and/or systems throughout the entire lifecycle in a team, taking into account quality standards.
• Continuous optimization of uniform, efficient, process-organizational concepts
• Development, further development and transfer of technical and process-related as well as IT-technical knowledge on the subject under responsibility
• Design and implementation of agile quality assurance and risk management
• Conduct analyzes and create concepts based on market, trend and competitive observations
• Create context for other engineers and relevant stakeholders of work-in-progress code through demos and showcases
• Customer and interface management, including requirements analysis, consulting and support for the central functions and clusters with regard to the topics responsible
• Ensuring internal and external requirements, particularly with regards to regulatory, reporting, compliance and audit, within the scope of the issues under responsibility and using best practices
• Operation, maintenance and maintenance of the infrastructure as well as providing powerful support for relevant systems, data maintenance, reporting and authorization management
• Adherence to security standards and ensure stable operation with respect to products, services processes and systems
• When improving products, services, processes and/or systems, IT accessibility/software ergonomics is taken into account with regard to the objectives of the Commerzbank Inclusion Action Plan

Skills/Qualification:

• Familiarity with Python, shell programming, Solaris IPS packaging system, Solaris release management
• Familiarity with Software Development lifecycle, testing concepts, version control systems, and release management
• Experience with SRE practices primarily around Everything-as-Code (EaC) including documentation, secrets management, and Infrastructure-as-Code
• Ability to read, understand, debug and implement templating languages such as jinja2
• Understanding of Software Architecture methods to write scalable and maintainable software for automation
• Good knowledge of Ansible Automation Platform
• Plan and deploy all Solaris application servers in production based on the defined processes
• Active maintenance and updating of productive systems
• Ensure 2nd and 3rd level support for the responsible IT systems
• Documentation of the systems used (Asset Database Comin)
• Good Oracle Solaris knowledge. Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) knowledge level expected.
• Virtualization – Good Oracle Zones knowledge (Solaris 11 native Zones, Solaris 11 Kernel Zones, Solaris 10 Branded Zones)
• Good knowledge of Oracle Solaris Cluster, high availability and disaster recovery concepts
• Experience with OS side administration of SAN storage, ZFS, volume management, RAID, SAN multipathing
• Familiarity with LDAP, Kerberos, Identity and Access Management
• General Cloud Technology Knowledge
• Handle and eliminate the deficiencies identified from the health checks performed
• Security topics (SIEM, Security Patching, PAM)
• Programming of scripts and batch runs for the automation of the system sequence
• Experience accompanying server migration projects
