Job Description

As a Data Product Manager focusing on data enablement, you will drive the roadmap, delivery, and adoption of enterprise data platform that enable producers to build and govern trusted data products, and consumers to discover and consume AI-ready data products through self-service analytics and AI capabilities.

Duties and Responsibilities

Roadmap

• Define enterprise data platform capabilities roadmap.
• Drive implementation of platform capabilities enabling data producers to build, govern, catalog, and manage lineage of their data products.
• Drive implementation of platform capabilities enabling data consumers to discover, subscribe to, and consume trusted data products through self-service analytics and AI capabilities.

Capability Alignment

• Collaborate with product, engineering, governance, analytics, and business teams to align platform capabilities with enterprise use cases and delivery priorities.
• Drive AI-ready platform capabilities supporting governance, metadata, lineage, semantic search, AI-assisted discovery, AI-generated documentation, and trusted AI/chatbot interaction with enterprise data products.
• Actively leverage AI-assisted tools and workflows to improve platform delivery, governance enablement, analysis, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
• Ensure platform and AI-enabled consumption capabilities align with trusted, certified, and reusable enterprise data products.

Experience & Adoption

• Define and improve the end-to-end user experience for data owner, product, governance, and consumer teams, ensuring usability, accessibility, trust, and adoption.
• Drive enterprise adoption and awareness of platform capabilities through enablement, engagement, onboarding, training, and stakeholder outreach initiatives.
• Define and track adoption, usability, and value delivery metrics to continuously improve platform effectiveness and user experience.

Lifecycle Management

• Manage the lifecycle of platform capabilities from ideation and prioritisation through delivery, enhancement, and deprecation.
• Drive requirements definition, backlog prioritisation, release planning, and delivery coordination using Agile methodologies.
• Coordinate delivery of platform initiatives with data engineering teams and technology partners, ensuring timely, high-quality outcomes aligned with roadmap priorities and business objectives.
• Support vendor and procurement activities including evaluation, engagement, contract management, and delivery governance.

Qualifications

Must Have

• Experience managing delivery of modern data platform initiatives such as data lakehouse/warehouse, governance, data marketplace, and self-service analytics platforms.
• Experience translating business and organisational needs into scalable platform capabilities and user experiences.
• Experience working with data product, governance, engineering, and analytics teams to operationalise platform capabilities and adoption initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management experience, including engagement with senior business and technical stakeholders.
• Experience in Agile product management practices including roadmap planning, backlog prioritisation, and delivery coordination.
• AI literate with hands-on experience using AI-assisted tools (e.g., copilots, agents, generative AI platforms) to improve platform delivery, documentation, governance workflows, analysis, stakeholder engagement, or self-service enablement.
• Strong analytical, communication, facilitation, documentation, and structured problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, collaborative, and comfortable operating in cross-functional and evolving environments.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or other cloud data platforms.
• Experience with data governance platforms such as OpenMetadata, Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Informatica IDMC, or equivalent.
• Exposure to AI-enabled enterprise analytics, conversational data consumption, or AI-assisted workflow enablement.
• Certified in PMP, CSM, CSPO, CITPM, or equivalent.
• Experience in vendor evaluation, procurement, and partner management.
