1. Platform Support & Sustenance (Primary Focus):

• Act as the primary owner and day 2 support for all CI/CD pipelines (Application and Infrastructure) in the GCC.
• Monitor pipeline health, troubleshoot failures, and resolve issues related to build agents, dependencies, permissions, and integrations.
• Manage and version-controlled IaC codebase (Terraform): Apply patches, updates, and security fixes to existing infrastructure definitions.
• Execute and refine standard operational procedures for scaling, patching, and recovering platform components.

2. Continuous Improvement & Optimization:

• Analyze pipeline performance to identify bottlenecks (e.g., build times, flaky tests) and implement solutions to improve speed and reliability.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure for cost and performance: Implement right-sizing, schedule non-production environments, and clean up unused resources via automation.
• Enhance monitoring, logging, and alerting to provide better visibility and proactive incident avoidance.
• Develop and maintain runbooks, playbooks, and documentation for operational procedures.

3. Security, Compliance & Governance:

• Enforce security best practices within pipelines: manage secrets, ensure image scanning, and validate compliance checks.
• Execute and audit infrastructure drift detection and compliance scans, ensuring the live environment matches the IaC definition.
• Apply necessary updates and patches to pipeline tools and underlying infrastructure to address vulnerabilities.

4. Automation of Operational Toil:

• Identify manual, repetitive operational tasks and build automation to eliminate them (e.g., automated cleanup jobs, self-service pipeline restarts, resource reporting).
• Work with development teams to improve their usage of the platform and automate their operational requests where possible.
