Job Summary

The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and delivering technology projects within the banking environment. The role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory, security, and business requirements. The Project Manager works closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and senior management to drive successful project delivery.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Delivery
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers.
  • Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle from initiation to implementation and post-go-live support.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
Stakeholder Management
  • Collaborate with business users, product owners, and senior management to gather requirements and align project objectives.
  • Facilitate project meetings, steering committee sessions, and status updates.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve project issues promptly.
Risk & Issue Management
  • Identify project risks, dependencies, and issues.
  • Develop mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Escalate critical risks and issues to project sponsors and management when necessary.

Vendor & Resource Management
  • Coordinate with external vendors, consultants, and system integrators.
  • Manage project resources and ensure effective utilization.
  • Monitor vendor deliverables and service quality.
Regulatory & Compliance Management
  • Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal governance standards.
  • Work closely with risk, compliance, audit, and information security teams.
  • Support regulatory audits and reviews.
Testing & Implementation
  • Oversee SIT, UAT, performance testing, and production deployment activities.
  • Ensure proper change management and release management processes are followed.
  • Coordinate production cutover and post-implementation support.
Reporting & Governance
  • Prepare project status reports, dashboards, and executive presentations.
  • Track project KPIs and milestones.
  • Ensure adherence to PMO governance and project management methodologies.
