Drive Bursa Malaysia’s corporate development strategy though partnerships, joint ventures, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.

1. Market intelligence and opportunity sourcing

• Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments to identify emerging opportunities and threats.

• Build and maintain a strong network and pipeline of potential acquisition or partnership targets across financial market infrastructure, fintech, data analytics, digital asset ecosystems and other stakeholders to source potential deals.

1. Lead end-to-end process for deal execution - mergers & acquisitions (M&A), stake acquisition (minor or major), joint ventures and divestures.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess strategic fit, financial impact, and operational feasibility of potential transactions

• Conduct financial modelling, valuation, and scenario analyses.

• Manage due diligence processes, engaging internal and external advisors.

• Negotiate key commercial terms and support deal structuring

• Prepare business cases, Board papers, and investment memos for EXCO’s and Board of Director’s (Board) / Board committee’s review.

• Oversee integration planning and execution to ensure value realization from strategic transactions. Monitor performance of acquired or partnered entities against strategic and financial objectives

1. Drive and execute strategic partnerships

• Identify, evaluate and execute strategic partnerships that enhance the Exchange’s product and technology capabilities and expand our global & regional reach.

• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. strategy, product and system / technology) to operationalise partnerships effectively.

Academic qualifications/Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related disciplines.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate strategy, corporate development or strategy consulting.

• Proven track record with 3-4 years in M&A-related experience, including valuations.
