Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Planning & Execution
Plan, organize, and manage daily production activities
Ensure production schedules are met to achieve on-time delivery (OTD)
Allocate manpower, machines, and resources efficiently
Monitor production output and adjust schedules as needed
2. CNC Machining Operations
Oversee high-precision CNC machining processes
Ensure strict control of tolerances and dimensional accuracy
Optimize machining processes to improve productivity and reduce cycle time
Minimize defects such as burrs, scratches, and out-of-tolerance parts
3. Special Process Coordination
Manage workflow involving external/internal processes:
Anodizing, Nickel Plating, Electropolishing
Plasma Coating & TWAS Coating
Ensure proper scheduling and turnaround time for subcontract processes
Work closely with suppliers to meet quality and delivery requirements
4. Precision Cleaning & Handling
Ensure proper handling and transfer of parts for precision cleaning
Maintain contamination control practices (FOD prevention)
Coordinate cleanroom or controlled environment processes where required
5. Productivity & Continuous Improvement
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance:
Production efficiency
Machine utilization
Throughput and capacity
Implement Lean Manufacturing / Kaizen practices
Reduce waste, rework, and downtime
6. Cost & Margin Control
Monitor production costs (labor, scrap, rework, outsourcing)
Identify opportunities to reduce cost and improve margins
Support feasibility review for new projects (e.g., AMAT business)
Ensure production efficiency aligns with profitable operations
7. Quality & Compliance
Work closely with Quality team to ensure product compliance
Ensure adherence to customer specifications (AMAT, Lam, ASM)
Support corrective actions for quality issues
Maintain discipline in process control and documentation
8. Team Leadership & Development
Lead, train, and supervise production staff and supervisors
Build a strong, disciplined, and safety-focused team
Assign responsibilities and monitor team performance
Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
9. AI & Data-Driven Production
Utilize data analytics tools (Excel, Power BI, MES if available) to:
Monitor production performance
Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies
Support implementation of AI-driven production planning and predictive maintenance
Drive digitalization in manufacturing processes
10. Automation of Equipment & Production Systems
Drive automation initiatives to improve productivity, consistency, and reduce manual dependency
Identify opportunities to automate CNC machining, material handling, and inspection processes
Lead implementation of automation solutions such as:
Robotic loading/unloading systems
Automated pallet systems and tool changers
In-line inspection systems (CMM, vision systems)
Automated cleaning and handling solutions
Work closely with Engineering to evaluate, justify, and deploy automation technologies
Develop CAPEX proposals based on ROI, productivity improvement, and cost savings
Ensure integration between machines, MES, and ERP systems for real-time data visibility
Implement predictive maintenance using IoT sensors and machine data
Ensure safety, reliability, and compliance of all automated systems
11. Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with:
Quality (defect control)
Engineering (process improvement & automation)
Sales/Planning (delivery commitments)
Support RFQ and project feasibility assessment
Automation Equipment & Resource Requirements
CNC automation systems (robotic arms, gantry loaders, pallet changers)
Automated material handling systems (conveyors, AGVs if applicable)
In-line inspection tools (vision systems, automated CMM)
Tool monitoring and tool life management systems
MES (Manufacturing Execution System) integration
IoT sensors for machine condition monitoring (temperature, vibration, load)
Data analytics dashboards (Power BI or similar)
Predictive and preventive maintenance software
Skilled automation technicians/engineers for support and troubleshooting
Requirements & Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field
Experience
Minimum 5–10 years in production/operations within:
Semiconductor industry OR
Precision machining environment
Experience supporting AMAT, Lam, ASM customers is an advantage
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of:
CNC machining operations
Precision manufacturing process flow
Surface treatment and coating coordination
Familiar with production planning systems and ERP
AI & Digital Skills (Preferred)
Knowledge of data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI)
Familiar with MES and production tracking systems
Understanding of:
Industry 4.0 / Smart Manufacturing
Predictive maintenance and automation concepts
Soft Skills
Strong leadership and team management abilities
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Strong communication and cross-functional coordination
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
