The MCMC Internship Programme - RISE@MCMC is to attract potential and brightest talents who are up for the challenge in our diverse business functions. The programme will provide opportunities to gain valuable hands-on exposure and experiences which will bring great benefits in charting your professional journey. This program will provides practical exposure and hands-on experience to students in cybersecurity, digital investigation, network security operations, and research activities while assisting the department in achieving its operational objectives and maintaining effective support for national cybersecurity and enforcement efforts.

1. Assist officers and analysts in daily operational and administrative tasks within the Network Investigation Department (NID).

2. Support cyber investigation and profiling activities involving online platforms and social media analysis.

3. Assist in conducting Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) research, data gathering, and information verification.

4. Prepare reports, documentation, presentations, and investigation-related records.

5. Support monitoring and analysis activities related to cyber threats, online harms, and suspicious network activities.

6. Assist in maintaining operational documentation, databases, and internal systems.

7. Assist in research and improvement initiatives related to cybersecurity operations and digital investigations.

8. Perform any other duties assigned by supervisors in support of departmental operations and strategic projects.

Qualifications/Courses/Studies Background

1. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Security, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Software Engineering, Telecommunications or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 3.20/4.00 from a recognised university;

2. Preferred academic exposure includes research methods, statistics or econometrics, business law, business ethics, public finance, accounting, management, data analysis and report writing.

3. Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts and network operations

4. Knowledge of OSINT (Open-Source Intelligence) and online research techniques

5. Familiarity with social media platforms, internet technologies, and digital environments

6. Basic analytical and problem-solving skills

7. Good communication, documentation, and report-writing abilities

8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team

9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and online collaboration platforms
