Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Social Media Intern role based in Klang. The Social Media Intern will assist in planning, creating, and publishing content across various social media platforms to support brand visibility and engagement. Responsibilities include drafting posts, designing basic visuals or coordinating with designers, scheduling content, and monitoring social media channels for comments, messages, and trends. The intern will help track key performance metrics, compile simple reports, and suggest ideas for campaigns or content improvements. The role also involves collaborating with marketing and communication team members to ensure consistent messaging and adherence to SMARTSEL’s brand guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Foundational skills in Social Media Marketing and Social Media Content Creation, with an interest in growing audience engagement and brand presence.
  • Basic understanding of Digital Marketing and Marketing principles, including campaign support and performance awareness.
  • Strong Communication skills, with clear writing, appropriate tone, and the ability to adapt messages for different platforms.
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X) and basic analytics or scheduling tools is an advantage.
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field is preferred.
  • Attention to detail, creativity, willingness to learn, and the ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment in Klang.
