Job Summary

We are seeking a well-organised, innovative, and dynamic lecturer to join our established university. The role calls for individuals who can inspire, lead, and bring creativity into the classroom while upholding academic standards.

The lecturer’s responsibilities include developing course materials and curricula, inspiring meaningful discussions, attending conferences, consulting with academics and industry professionals, supervising graduate students, grading assignments, and contributing actively to the university community.

To succeed as a lecturer at Limkokwing University, candidates must not only demonstrate subject expertise and strong pedagogical skills but also be familiar with the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) standards and requirements to ensure programmes and delivery are compliant with national higher education benchmarks. Outstanding candidates should also be able to prepare and deliver powerful lectures, inspire students with their passion, and collaborate across disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing, organising and delivering lectures, tutorials, workshops, and seminars.
• Developing curricula and course material aligned with MQA standards and adaptable across multiple platforms.
• Will be required to be a Program Leader.
• Collaborating with colleagues to enhance teaching methods and knowledge sharing.
• Supervising graduate students where applicable.
• Designing and grading assignments, tests, and examinations.
• Conducting impactful research and contributing through publications, proposals, and creative outputs.
• Participating in institutional meetings, conferences, and academic initiatives.
• Engaging in professional training and development opportunities.
• Providing academic and pastoral support to students and colleagues.Requirement:
• Deep knowledge of the chosen academic field, supported by advanced qualifications (PhD preferred, Master’s degree minimum).
• Minimum of 2 years academic experience & 5 years industrial experience in the field.
• Area of Specialisation: Fashion Design, Fashion Retailing and Brand Management- Fashion Design subjects, Fashion Retailing, Fashion Media & Marketing Innovation.
• Proven ability in effective teaching, curriculum design, and student engagement.
• Knowledge of and adherence to MQA standards and requirements, with the ability to embed these in curriculum development, assessment, and teaching.
• Previous teaching or relevant industry experience is advantageous.
• Skilled in using educational technologies and learning management systems.
• Competence in conducting statistical or qualitative research, depending on the field (for postgraduate lecturers).
• Ability to integrate digital tools seamlessly into teaching and research.
• Capable of motivating learners through enthusiasm and creativity.
• Flexibility, resilience, and willingness to dedicate extra time when required.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: From RM3,500.00 per month
