About The Role
We are seeking a highly driven
Senior Specialist to join our
Transaction Banking team at RHB Banking Group, focusing on
SME and Commercial Sales. In this strategic role, you will be at the forefront of growing our GTB (Group Transaction Banking) business by acquiring new clients, expanding product penetration, and optimizing cross-selling opportunities. You will work closely with relationship managers, internal stakeholders, and customers to deliver tailored cash and trade solutions that address complex working capital needs. Your consultative approach and in-depth understanding of the SME/Commercial Banking landscape will help position RHB as a trusted partner in transaction banking.
What You Will Be Doing
- Acquire new SME and Commercial Banking clients to drive growth in GTB revenues and product penetration
- Take ownership of client relationships to up-tier and enhance engagement through consultative, value-driven solutions
- Lead origination and onboarding efforts in collaboration with SME/Commercial Banking teams to achieve set targets
- Build a deep understanding of clients’ business models, decision-making processes, and working capital needs
- Design and pitch customized solutions involving trade finance (TF) and cash management (CM) products
- Serve as the point of contact for customer engagements, planning and executing strategic discussions and proposals
- Prepare and deliver compelling client presentations and value propositions tailored to customer needs
- Actively engage key decision makers to drive solution implementation and deepen wallet share
- Maintain close collaboration with internal stakeholders and provide market feedback on trends, competitor moves, and opportunities
What We're Looking For
- More than 10 years of relevant experience in cash and trade sales, ideally in SME/Commercial Banking
- Deep knowledge of Transaction Banking products, particularly Cash Management and Trade Finance
- Proven track record in independently managing client portfolios and delivering against sales targets
- Strong business acumen with a strategic and analytical mindset
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills—able to craft and present winning solutions
- Resourceful, self-motivated, and disciplined, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Effective interpersonal skills and a consultative approach to building client relationships
- A self-starter with initiative, curiosity, and a continuous learning mindset
