Job Summary

The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all construction activities, materials, installations, and workmanship comply with project specifications, healthcare facility requirements, applicable building codes, quality standards, and client expectations. The role involves conducting inspections, monitoring quality compliance, managing documentation, and coordinating corrective actions throughout the hospital construction project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance

• Develop and implement Project Quality Management Plans (PQMP), Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), and quality procedures.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, method statements, and material submittals.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements, local authority regulations, healthcare facility standards, and applicable codes.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and project teams to establish quality requirements.
• Conduct quality audits and monitor implementation of quality management systems.

Quality Control

• Perform inspections of civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), medical gas systems, and finishing works.
• Verify that materials delivered to site comply with approved specifications and standards.
• Monitor installation works to ensure compliance with approved shop drawings and method statements.
• Witness site testing, commissioning, and performance verification activities.
• Identify quality issues and initiate corrective and preventive actions.

Documentation & Compliance

• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, checklists, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and quality records.
• Ensure proper documentation and traceability of construction materials and testing results.
• Review and maintain records of laboratory tests, material approvals, and commissioning reports.
• Compile quality dossiers and handover documentation for project completion.

Required Skills & Qualifications Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

Experience

• 2–10+ years of QA/QC experience depending on industry
• Experience in building construction

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
