Accounts Assistant (Full Set Accounts) – Car Dealership
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to manage the full set of accounts for our car dealership. The role involves handling day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting management with accurate reporting to drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Full Set Accounts Management
- Prepare and maintain general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bank reconciliations.
- Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
- Prepare financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
Dealership-Specific Accounting
- Record vehicle sales, trade-ins, financing, and insurance transactions.
- Manage stock accounting for vehicles and spare parts.
- Track service department revenues and expenses.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Generate management reports (sales, profit & loss, cash flow).
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations (GST/SST, corporate tax).
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies.
Operational Support
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting.
- Monitor cash flow and support treasury functions.
- Support management in cost control and efficiency improvements.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience handling full set accounts (preferably in automotive or retail industry).
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SQL, AutoCount, or similar).
- Good analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
