Job Title: QA/QC Supervisor (Architectural Fabrication)
Location: Tuanku Jaafar Industrial Park, Sungai Gadut, 71450 Seremban, Negeri Sembilan
Salary Range: RM3,000 – RM4,000
Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Job Summary

The QA/QC Supervisor (Architectural Fabrication) is responsible for overseeing quality assurance and control activities across fabrication processes. This role ensures all products meet approved drawings, project specifications, and client requirements prior to delivery and installation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Control & Inspection

• Supervise and coordinate all QC activities across fabrication processes
• Ensure compliance with approved shop drawings, specifications, and client requirements
• Perform dimensional checks and verify tolerances for fabrication accuracy

2. Pre-Production Review

• Review drawings, method statements, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) before production
• Ensure all technical requirements are clearly understood by production teams

3. Material & Process Inspection

• Inspect incoming materials to ensure compliance with specifications
• Monitor fabrication processes including cutting, bending, welding, drilling, assembly, and finishing
• Verify welding quality in accordance with WPS and applicable standards

4. Surface & Finishing Quality

• Ensure proper surface preparation prior to painting or powder coating
• Coordinate with paint shop QC to ensure finishing quality meets standards

5. Final Inspection & Delivery

• Conduct final inspection of completed products prior to delivery
• Ensure all quality requirements are met before release to site

6. Non-Conformance & Corrective Actions

• Issue and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCR)
• Investigate root causes and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented

7. Coordination & Site Support

• Liaise with project teams, consultants, and main contractors on quality matters
• Attend site inspections and resolve fabrication-related quality issues

8. Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain quality documentation including inspection reports, calibration records, and welding qualifications
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System

9. Team Leadership & Training

• Supervise and train QC inspectors and fabrication personnel
• Promote a strong quality culture and continuous improvement practices

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in aluminium or steel fabrication quality control
• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
• Good knowledge of welding standards, fabrication processes, and construction requirements
• Familiar with QA/QC documentation, ITPs, and ISO 9001 standards
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills
• Good communication skills to liaise with consultants and contractors
• Experience in façade, curtain wall, or architectural metal works industry
• Knowledge of international standards (ISO, ASTM, BS)
• Certification in welding inspection (e.g., CSWIP) is an advantage

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
