Position Overview: AI Robotics Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated AI Robotics Engineer to develop, optimize, and implement cutting-edge AI and robotics technologies for our AGV systems. In this role, you will contribute to the design and execution of intelligent autonomous solutions, from system architecture to deployment in real-world environments.

Key Responsibilities

• AI Development: Design and implement machine learning and AI algorithms to enable autonomous navigation, obstacle avoidance, and decision-making for AGVs.
• Robotics Integration: Collaborate with hardware and software teams to integrate AI solutions into AGV systems seamlessly.
• Path Planning & Mapping: Develop algorithms for SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) and motion planning to optimize AGV performance in dynamic environments.
• Computer Vision: Build computer vision systems for object detection, recognition, and environment perception using cameras, LiDAR, or other sensors.
• Testing & Deployment: Conduct simulations and field tests to validate AGV performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system reliability.
• Research & Innovation: Stay updated with the latest trends in robotics and AI to drive innovation in Meraque’s AGV solutions.
• Data Analysis: Collect and analyze sensor data to improve system performance and decision-making.
• Documentation: Create detailed technical documentation, including system designs, algorithms, and testing protocols.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in AI, robotics, or autonomous systems development.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Python, C++, or ROS (Robot Operating System).
• Strong knowledge of machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and AI techniques.
• Hands-on experience with SLAM algorithms, path planning, and real-time control systems.
• Familiarity with computer vision libraries (e.g., OpenCV) and sensor integration (e.g., LiDAR, cameras, IMUs).
• Understanding of embedded systems and hardware-software integration.
• Experience in real-time systems, control algorithms, and multi-agent coordination is a plus.
