Chief of Staff & Strategic Execution Leader

Remote | Full-Time | Reports Directly to CEO & Founder

Bring discipline, accountability, and execution to a company that moves fast.

Summon Electronics is a growing supply chain and engineering solutions company serving OEMs, transit authorities, defense contractors, and manufacturers. We solve sourcing and supply chain challenges others cannot, and we're building systems, people, and technology to scale that advantage.

The CEO generates opportunities, drives strategy, builds relationships, and launches initiatives constantly.

Your job is to make sure the right things actually get done.

This is not an administrative assistant position.

This is not a calendar management role.

This is a leadership position responsible for creating accountability, prioritization, and execution across the entire organization.

You will serve as the company's central operating mechanism—ensuring that projects have owners, deadlines have meaning, commitments are fulfilled, and resources are focused on the highest-return opportunities.

You will have authority to challenge priorities, question assumptions, push for clarity, and hold leadership—including the CEO—accountable to agreed-upon commitments.

Your Mission

Create a company where:

  • Every project has a purpose.
  • Every task has an owner.
  • Every commitment has a deadline.
  • Every initiative has an expected outcome.
  • Every team member is accountable.
  • The CEO stays focused on the highest-value activities.

What You'll OwnCompany-Wide Accountability

You will establish and manage the systems that drive execution.

Nothing should exist in a gray area.

For every initiative, project, or task, you will ensure:

  • Why are we doing this?
  • What is the expected return?
  • Who owns it?
  • What is the deadline?
  • How will success be measured?
  • What resources are required?
  • What is preventing completion?

If these questions cannot be answered, the work should not move forward.

Strategic Prioritization

The company has more opportunities than it has time.

You will help leadership determine:

  • What deserves attention
  • What should be delegated
  • What should be delayed
  • What should be eliminated

You are expected to challenge activity that creates motion without creating results.

The goal is not to do more work.

The goal is to do the right work.

CEO Effectiveness

You become the force multiplier for the CEO.

You will:

  • Track commitments
  • Manage priorities
  • Drive follow-through
  • Surface risks
  • Prepare decisions
  • Eliminate distractions

You are expected to ask difficult questions when needed:

  • Why is this a priority?
  • What is the expected outcome?
  • Is this the best use of time?
  • What happens if we don't do this?
  • What is the return on this effort?

You are not expected to agree with every idea.

You are expected to improve decision quality.

Leadership Team Execution

You will work directly with leaders across:

  • Sales
  • Supply Chain
  • Purchasing
  • Quality
  • Operations
  • Finance
  • Technology

Your responsibility is ensuring commitments become completed outcomes.

You will routinely follow up, challenge delays, identify bottlenecks, and escalate issues before they become problems.

Business Operations Visibility

You will maintain visibility into the health of the business, including:

  • Major projects
  • Key customer initiatives
  • Accounts receivable
  • Accounts payable
  • Cash flow concerns
  • Operational KPIs
  • Hiring initiatives
  • Technology projects

You do not need to perform the work.

You need to know what is happening, what is at risk, and what requires leadership attention.

What Success Looks LikeFirst 90 Days

  • Every major project has a documented owner, deadline, and objective.
  • Company-wide accountability tracking is implemented.
  • Leadership meetings produce clear decisions and follow-through.
  • Daily executive briefing established.
  • High-priority projects move faster with fewer bottlenecks.
  • The CEO spends significantly less time chasing updates and managing follow-up.

First Year

  • The company operates through systems rather than memory.
  • Accountability becomes part of the culture.
  • Projects are completed faster and with greater consistency.
  • Leadership has visibility into priorities, risks, and resource allocation.
  • The CEO focuses primarily on strategy, customers, sourcing innovation, and growth.

Who You Are

You may come from:

  • Chief of Staff
  • Business Operations
  • Startup Operations
  • Program Management
  • Consulting
  • Military Leadership
  • Executive Operations
  • Project Portfolio Management

Most importantly, you are someone who naturally asks:

  • Why?
  • By when?
  • Who owns it?
  • What is the expected return?
  • What is blocking progress?
  • Is this still a priority?

You are comfortable challenging executives, holding people accountable, and creating structure where none exists.

You are respected because you are fair, direct, organized, and relentlessly focused on execution.

The Right Person For This Role

The right candidate isn't impressed by busy work.

They care about outcomes.

They understand that every project consumes:

  • Time
  • Money
  • Attention
  • Opportunity

They are willing to ask difficult questions that improve decisions and keep the organization focused.

If you're the type of person who sees chaos and immediately starts building systems, creating accountability, and driving execution, we want to talk to you.
