Summary:

We are partnering with a well-established organization in the manufacturing sector to appoint a Regional Finance Lead based in Malaysia. This is a high-impact leadership role for a commercially driven finance professional who is keen to move beyond traditional reporting and play a pivotal role in business performance and decision-making.

This position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and operations teams, with clear visibility and scope to influence and own financial outcomes at the country level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a strategic finance partner to country and plant leadership, providing insights on business performance, cost structures, and profitability
• Lead the full spectrum of finance operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, costing, and cash flow management
• Drive product costing, margin analysis, and continuous cost optimization initiatives within a manufacturing environment
• Take ownership of financial performance, supporting and influencing P&L outcomes at the local level
• Oversee working capital management, including inventory, receivables, and payables
• Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team while maintaining a strong hands-on approach
• Drive process improvements and support the implementation of systems and tools to enhance efficiency and transparency
• Act as a key liaison with external stakeholders, including auditors, financial institutions, and advisors

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in finance within a manufacturing or industrial environment, with a strong foundation in cost accounting
• Demonstrated ability to operate as a hands-on leader, balancing strategic thinking with attention to detail
• Proven track record in financial planning & analysis, budgeting, and business partnering
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence decision-making and challenge constructively
• Experience working closely with operations or plant teams is highly preferred
• Effective communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders across all levels
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
