Job Summary

This role is responsible for overseeing accounting policies, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, managing cash flow, and maintaining strong financial controls across the hotel. The Director of Finance will work closely with the General Manager and department heads to support business performance and drive operational decisions.


Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • To work closely with the General Manager on daily financial and operational matters
  • To approve daily accounting reports, including daily sales report, general cashier report, food & beverage cost report, daily petty cash & payment vouchers, purchase orders, all reports for other departments, and executive & entertainment report.
  • To approve and recheck weekly accounting, including cash flow audit and room commission.
  • To approve and recheck monthly accounting reports, including financial statements, all monthly accounting reports, all commissions of e-commerce room bookings, all accounting journal voucher reports, asset register report, and all tax reports.
  • To control procedures of accounting work, including daily and monthly inventory, all hotel cash flow, receiving procedures, ensuring all accounting work is properly and efficiently performed, maintenance contracts, all sponsorship, and bank reconciliation and cash flow.
  • To be responsible for reports, including budget report, capex report, profit and loss of hotel events, monthly revenue report, monthly statistical report, and financial statements report.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience in finance leadership, preferably within hospitality
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, controls, and accounting practices
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Effective communication and leadership skills
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (professional certification is an advantage)
