We are looking for an experienced JV Accountant to support joint venture accounting activities, including cost statements, Joint Interest Billings (JIBs), cash calls, JV budgets, AFEs, reconciliations, statutory reporting, and JV audit support.

The ideal candidate should have strong accounting experience, preferably within the oil and gas industry, with good exposure to JV accounting, operator billing, budgeting, and financial reporting.

• Manage and support accurate accounting of Joint Venture financial transactions.
• Review and monitor Cost Statements, Joint Interest Billings (JIBs), and Cash Calls.
• Assist in monitoring annual Work Programme & Budget against actual expenditure.
• Prepare monthly accruals, reconciliations, and JV cost reports.
• Review JV budgets, AFEs, and related operator submissions.
• Coordinate with internal finance, commercial, legal, and technical teams on JV accounting matters.
• Liaise with operators, JV partners, and auditors on billing, budget, and account-related queries.
• Support statutory reporting, compliance matters, and audit schedules.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records and operator correspondence.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CMA, or part-qualified Chartered Accountant is an added advantage.
• Minimum 8–10 years of relevant accounting experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred.
• Strong exposure to JV Accounting, JIBs, Cash Calls, Cost Statements, Budgeting, and AFEs.
• Good understanding of accounting standards, statutory reporting, and financial compliance.
• Strong analytical, reconciliation, and reporting skills.
• Able to communicate effectively in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Able to work independently and liaise with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

• Oil and gas accounting / upstream finance experience.
• Experience dealing with operators, JV partners, external auditors, and head office finance teams.
• Strong familiarity with JV cost monitoring, budget tracking, and expenditure reporting.
