Key Responsibilities:
1. Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities for productivity improvement, waste reduction, cost savings, and quality enhancement within manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Conduct process studies, time studies, and workflow analysis to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Develop and implement process improvement projects to improve operational performance.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented improvements.
2. New Product & Process Development
- Participate in new product introduction (NPI) activities.
- Evaluate manufacturing feasibility and process capability for new products.
- Develop and optimize production and assembly processes after initial mass production.
- Recommend process modifications to improve productivity, quality, and manufacturability.
3. Material & Packaging Evaluation
- Coordinate trials and testing of new raw materials, components, and packaging materials.
- Analyze trial results and prepare recommendations for implementation.
4. Project Management
- Plan, execute, and monitor improvement projects according to agreed timelines.
- Coordinate resources and stakeholders to ensure successful project completion.
- Track project savings and performance improvements.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Production, Mechatronics, Polymer Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
- 3–8 years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, continuous improvement, project engineering, or plastic injection moulding environments.
- Fresh graduates with strong engineering fundamentals, relevant internship/industrial training experience, and demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities are encouraged to apply.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Experienced in process optimization, productivity improvement, waste reduction, cost savings, and quality enhancement initiatives.
- Skilled in conducting process studies, time studies, workflow analysis, and root cause investigations.
- Proficient in production data analysis, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in new product introduction (NPI), process development, and manufacturing feasibility evaluation.
- Capable of planning, executing, and managing improvement projects with measurable business impact.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience in plastic manufacturing, assembly operations, or high-volume manufacturing environments is an added advantage.
- Good communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
