About the role

Glory Education & Training Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Elementary Science Teacher to join our primary education team in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. This is a full-time position based at our school facility. As an Elementary Science Teacher, you will play a crucial role in fostering a love of science and discovery among young learners, helping to shape the next generation of curious minds. You will be responsible for delivering engaging, age-appropriate science lessons that inspire critical thinking and hands-on exploration, whilst supporting the overall development and wellbeing of your students.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging science lessons aligned with the primary education curriculum and learning objectives
• Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and scientific inquiry
• Conduct practical demonstrations, experiments and hands-on activities to reinforce scientific concepts and principles
• Assess student progress through regular formative and summative evaluations, maintaining detailed records of achievement
• Provide constructive feedback to students and communicate regularly with parents regarding academic progress and behaviour
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and coordinate science-related extracurricular activities
• Maintain laboratory equipment, safety standards and classroom materials in accordance with school policies
• Participate in professional development opportunities and stay current with advances in science education pedagogy
• Support the pastoral care and overall wellbeing of students, acting as a positive role model

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Science Education, Elementary Education or a related discipline
• Valid teaching qualification or teacher training certification appropriate to the jurisdiction
• Demonstrated experience teaching science to primary-level students (ideally 2+ years)
• Strong subject matter knowledge across core science disciplines including biology, chemistry, physics and earth science
• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
• Proficiency in using technology and educational resources to enhance teaching and learning
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in age-appropriate ways
• A passion for science education and the ability to inspire curiosity and enthusiasm in young learners
• Commitment to continuous professional development and keeping abreast of current best practices in primary science education
• Flexibility, patience and a collaborative approach to working with students, parents and colleagues
