RHB Group is seeking an experienced and strategic HR leader to head our Total Rewards & Performance function. Reporting to the Group Chief People Officer, this role is responsible for shaping and driving enterprise-wide reward and performance strategies that support RHB Group's business priorities, workforce productivity and high-performance culture across multiple businesses and markets.
The successful candidate will lead a team responsible for compensation and benefits, performance management, reward governance and workforce performance initiatives across the Group. As a trusted advisor to the Group Chief People Officer, the role will play a critical part in influencing strategic workforce decisions, reward governance and performance outcomes at an enterprise level. The incumbent will work closely with members of the Group Management Committee (GMC), senior business leaders and the Board Remuneration Committee to develop, evaluate and present recommendations on reward frameworks, executive compensation, performance outcomes and workforce-related matters.
This is a highly visible leadership role requiring strong commercial acumen, executive presence and the ability to influence senior stakeholders while delivering practical, business-focused solutions in a large and complex organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Total Rewards
- Lead the development and execution of RHB Group's Total Rewards strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, market competitiveness and talent priorities.
- Drive annual salary review, bonus and incentive programmes across the Group.
- Oversee compensation benchmarking, job evaluation, salary structures and reward governance frameworks.
- Provide strategic recommendations on executive compensation, talent retention and workforce cost management.
- Review and enhance reward policies and programmes to strengthen employee attraction, engagement and retention.
- Ensure reward practices remain aligned with governance requirements, market trends and industry best practices.
Performance Management
- Lead the design, implementation and continuous enhancement of RHB Group's performance management framework.
- Drive performance calibration and talent differentiation processes to reinforce a high-performance culture.
- Partner with business leaders to strengthen accountability, performance outcomes and leadership effectiveness.
- Develop workforce insights and analytics to support strategic decision-making and organisational performance.
- Ensure alignment between business objectives, individual performance and reward outcomes.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the Group Chief People Officer on reward and performance-related matters.
- Partner closely with members of the Group Management Committee and senior business leaders to align people strategies with business priorities.
- Develop and present recommendations, analysis and business cases to the Group Management Committee and Board Remuneration Committee.
- Provide thought leadership on executive compensation, incentive design, reward governance and performance outcomes.
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team while fostering a culture of excellence, innovation and continuous improvement.
- Build strong partnerships across the organisation and influence decision-making at the highest levels.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Economics or a related discipline. Postgraduate qualifications will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in Total Rewards, Compensation & Benefits, Performance Management or related disciplines.
- Proven experience leading enterprise-wide rewards and performance strategies within large, complex and matrixed organisations.
- Demonstrated experience supporting organisations with large employee populations, multiple business segments and diverse workforce groups.
- Strong experience in compensation design, benefits management, salary benchmarking, job evaluation, executive compensation and performance management frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience partnering directly with C-suite executives and senior leadership teams on strategic workforce and people matters.
- Experience preparing, presenting and defending recommendations relating to reward, performance, executive compensation or workforce strategy to executive leadership and governance committees.
- Strong executive presence with excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
- Strong analytical and commercial mindset with the ability to translate workforce data and market insights into meaningful business recommendations.
- Experience operating within a highly regulated, governance-driven or large-scale corporate environment will be an added advantage.
