About the role

Glory Education & Training Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Elementary Mathematics Teacher to join our primary education team in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in shaping young learners' mathematical foundations and fostering a genuine love for numeracy. As an Elementary Mathematics Teacher, you will be responsible for creating engaging, interactive lessons that develop students' problem-solving skills, critical thinking abilities, and mathematical confidence. This role is instrumental in ensuring that students develop strong numeracy competencies that will support their academic progression and future success.

Key responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging mathematics lessons aligned with the curriculum standards for primary level students
• Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all students feel confident and motivated to learn mathematics
• Assessing student progress through formative and summative assessments, and providing constructive feedback to support learning
• Differentiating instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of individual students
• Using a variety of teaching methods and educational materials to make mathematics concepts clear, accessible and enjoyable
• Collaborating with colleagues to develop effective mathematics teaching strategies and share best practices
• Maintaining detailed records of student attendance, progress and behaviour
• Communicating regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, achievements and areas for improvement
• Participating in professional development activities and staff meetings to enhance teaching practice
• Supporting students' overall development and wellbeing during the school day

What we're looking for

• A recognised teaching qualification or degree in Education with a specialisation in primary mathematics (or equivalent)
• Current or eligible teacher registration or certification as required by local education authorities
• Proven experience teaching mathematics at the primary level, ideally 2+ years
• Strong subject knowledge of primary mathematics curriculum and concepts
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to young learners
• Ability to engage students through creative, interactive and practical teaching approaches
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive, supportive learning environment
• Proficiency in using educational technology and digital resources to enhance teaching and learning
• Ability to assess student progress effectively and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice
• Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for working with young children
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a teaching team

Pay: RM2,300.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
