Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Workplace Safety and Health Coordinator role based in Singapore. The coordinator will support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of workplace safety and health (WSH) programs across construction and plumbing projects. Daily responsibilities include conducting site inspections, identifying hazards, recommending corrective actions, and ensuring compliance with local WSH regulations and company policies. The role involves maintaining safety documentation, incident reports, and risk assessments, as well as participating in toolbox meetings and safety briefings. The coordinator will collaborate with site supervisors and workers to promote a strong safety culture, provide on-the-job guidance, and support investigations of accidents or near-misses to prevent recurrence.
Qualifications
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation to work effectively with site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills to deliver safety briefings, prepare reports, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Ability to conduct training sessions, toolbox talks, and safety orientations for workers at different experience levels.
  • Familiarity with basic medical terminology and first-aid concepts to respond appropriately to workplace incidents and coordinate with medical providers.
  • Relevant WSH certifications (e.g., WSH Coordinator or equivalent recognized by local authorities) and knowledge of Singapore’s workplace safety and health regulations.
  • Experience in construction or related fields, with understanding of site operations, risk assessment, and safe work procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work independently on-site under varying conditions.
  • Proficiency in basic office software for documentation and reporting; ability to maintain accurate safety records.
