Job Title: Electrical Engineer (Construction – Ducting / HVAC Projects)

Job Summary

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising electrical works related to ducting and HVAC systems within construction projects. The role involves ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, review, and implement electrical systems supporting HVAC and ducting installations.
• Coordinate with mechanical, ducting, and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Prepare and review technical drawings, schematics, and electrical layouts.
• Supervise site electrical works, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Conduct inspections and testing of electrical installations related to HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during installation and commissioning stages.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and authorities on project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor project progress, costs, and material usage.
• Prepare reports, documentation, and project handover records.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in construction projects, preferably in HVAC/ducting systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, load calculations, and control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Good coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., local electrical regulations).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software is an advantage.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) contracting companies.
• Knowledge of HVAC control systems (e.g., BMS).
• Strong site supervision experience in construction environments.
