Job Summary

Join Chye Joo Construction as a Project Contracts Manager to lead contract administration and claims management for infrastructure and civil engineering projects, ensuring commercial success and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer contracts for infrastructure and civil engineering projects to ensure compliance and project success
  • Handle contractual correspondences, notices, and documentation to maintain accurate records and communication
  • Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate variation orders and claims to protect project interests and financial outcomes
  • Lead claims management processes including Extension of Time (EOT) and cost claims to resolve disputes effectively
  • Provide clear contractual advice to project teams and stakeholders to support informed decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company policies, and legal requirements to mitigate risks
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors on contract-related matters to maintain strong working relationships
  • Lead the Quantity Surveying (QS) team in subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and management to optimize project resources

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Degree in Civil Engineering (preferred), Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
  • Relevant experience in contracts and claims management within construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of standard forms of contracts to apply best practices
  • Proven experience in handling claims, disputes, and contract negotiations to achieve favorable outcomes
  • Experience managing Land Transport Authority (LTA) projects is highly favored
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills to influence stakeholders and resolve issues
  • Ability to work independently and lead teams managing multiple projects concurrently
