Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and organizing internal audit and process advisory assignments across various corporate departments (e.g. HR, Finance, Procurement, IT, Operations), ensuring alignment with audit plans and objectives.
• Conduct comprehensive fieldwork and testing within departments to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, compliance with policies, and efficiency of processes.
• Liaise with departmental heads and staff to gather relevant data, documentation, and operational insights for audit planning, risk assessment, and execution.
• Draft detailed audit reports, process improvement recommendations, and risk mitigation plans tailored to each department’s structure and functions.
• Facilitate constructive discussions with auditees to clarify audit findings, resolve discrepancies, and ensure actionable follow-through.
• Monitor the implementation status of corrective actions and perform follow-up reviews where necessary.
• Support any ad hoc audit assignments or process reviews within internal functions, as assigned by Audit Management.

Qualifications:

• Candidate must possess minimum 1.5 - 2 years of internal audit experience.
• A degree in Accountancy/ Business/ Finance or professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIA, etc.
• Exposure to auditing in retail industry will be an added advantage.
• Independent and experienced in dealing with various Stakeholders.
• Ability to conduct effective risk analysis and strong in data analytic.
• Growth mindset with strong interpersonal and presentation and report writing skills.
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
