Key Responsibilities

• Teach Math classes from Primary 4 to Secondary 4
• Teach Primary Math, Secondary E-Math, and Secondary A-Math
• Deliver lessons in a clear, engaging, and student-friendly manner
• Explain concepts patiently and adapt explanations to different learning abilities
• Build strong rapport with students and maintain a positive classroom atmosphere
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback where needed
• Prepare, review, and familiarise yourself with teaching materials before lessons
• Support students in strengthening their confidence, problem-solving skills, and understanding of Math
• Encourage good learning habits and active participation in class

Requirements

• University graduate
• Able to teach from Primary 4 Math to Secondary 4 E-Math and A-Math
• At least 1 year of teaching experience in tuition, enrichment, or school settings is preferred
• Fresh graduates with strong Math ability and good communication skills are welcome to apply
• Strong classroom presence and ability to engage students
• Patient, responsible, and passionate about education
• Able to explain concepts clearly and relate well to students of different ages
• Able to commit to a 4-day work week consisting of 3 weekdays and 1 weekend day

Ideal Candidate

You enjoy teaching and believe that students learn best when they feel encouraged, understood, and supported. You are confident in Math, but more importantly, you know how to communicate ideas clearly and make lessons approachable.

You should be comfortable working with students of different abilities, from those who need help building confidence to those aiming for stronger academic performance. You are patient, engaging, responsible, and willing to grow with the centre.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a tutor who can do more than just solve Math questions. The right candidate should be able to:

• Break down difficult concepts into simple explanations
• Make lessons interactive and engaging
• Encourage students who lack confidence
• Maintain a warm but structured classroom environment
• Take pride in helping students improve gradually and meaningfully

Compensation

$3,500 – $4,500 per month, depending on experience, teaching ability, and suitability for the role.

Additional teaching hours beyond the capped weekly teaching load may be compensated with attractive overtime pay.
