You will manage and support comprehensive HSE planning, governance, and program rollout across downstream operations in Borneo, while driving continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

• Ensure compliance toward HSE local legal requirements, HSE governance and Cardinal Rules.
• Deliver HSE consultancy and coaching to Line Operations and Management and promote HSE culture.
• Coordinate and develop the annual HSE plan and set objectives and targets with monthly reporting.
• Facilitate and monitor the implementation of HSE Management System, BlueScope Limited HSE Management System, Code of Practices, Audits (Internal and External Auditors), Unsafe Act and Unsafe Condition reporting (SOR) and others related HSE standard.
• Coordinate, establish and maintain HSE Legal Register and Risk Register.
• Daily safety line walks and ensure that the hazards, unsafe act and unsafe conditions are highlighted and rectified.
• Prompt and effective investigation of safety incidents. Ensuring corrective actions are implemented and closed out in timely manner.
  
  

What You Need To Succeed

• Bachelor's degree in environmental health and safety or related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience within manufacturing industry.
• Effective oral and written communications skills.
• Ability to work effectively with different stakeholders.
  
  

Job Requirements & Expectations

• Degree or Diploma qualified person in the field of Engineering, Environmental management or Occupational Safety management with 3-5 years of leadership within manufacturing industry experience in Environment and Safety.
• Good communication skills are essential since must be able to communicate to all levels both with in the local business and external to regulators and senior management.
• Able to balance conflicting priorities and still provide the organization with clear direction and focus.
• Possess leadership and communication ability which encourages teamwork and idea generation while remaining focused on results and process improvement.
• Individual must be able to understand the various HSE tools and systems in place and able to effectively support the role out/implementation remotely.
