Job Summary
You will monitor and maintain IT systems 24/7 to ensure uptime per SLA, respond promptly to incidents, perform hardware and software troubleshooting, coordinate with suppliers, and support customers to resolve technical issues effectively.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain hardware and software systems continuously to meet SLA uptime commitments
- Respond onsite as first responder to incident and service calls, troubleshoot and resolve issues including basic repairs and parts replacement
- Create, update, and track tickets in the ticketing tool until closure, ensuring SLA compliance
- Escalate incidents following the established escalation matrix when necessary
- Perform regular preventive and corrective maintenance on system hardware and computer-based systems
- Coordinate with third-party suppliers and contractors to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
- Liaise closely with customers to address service concerns and solve technical problems promptly
- Collaborate with technical teams to resolve advanced issues as needed
- Execute Install, Move, Add, Change (IMAC) activities as assigned
- Document and hand over all materials properly during shift changes
- Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned
- Build sustainable customer relationships by providing proactive and attentive service
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Higher NITEC in Electrical, Electronics, IT or equivalent
- Experience in IT system support and hardware maintenance
- Knowledge of electrical/mechanical drawings, service/repair manuals, or diagrams
- Basic understanding of networking and database management
- Background in airport operations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-starter with motivation and critical thinking skills to embrace challenges
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
- Capability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel and work effectively under stress
- Willingness to undergo training
Other Information
- Working hours: Rotating 12-hour shifts or as assigned
- Shift pattern: 3 days work followed by 2 days rest, then 2 days work followed by 3 days rest
- Shift rotation: 2 months day shift followed by 2 months night shift
- Reporting location: Woodlands RTS
- Ability to travel to other sites during shifts may be required
