Responsibilities
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced RESTAURANT MANAGER to lead operations at Wagayashi Restaurant, a dining establishment offering traditional and modern fusion Japanese cuisine in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who is passionate about delivering excellent guest experiences and building a strong service team.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily restaurant operations with strong focus on front-of-house service excellence
Lead, supervise, and develop service staff to ensure high perfomance and discipline
Work closely with Executive Chef to ensure smooth coordination between kitchen and service flows
Manage staff scheduling, recruitment, onboarding, and training
Ensure consistent customer satisfaction and handle feedback/service recovery professionally
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance with food safety standards
Monitor daily operations, sales performance, and service efficiency
Support inventory coordination and operational reporting to management
Requirements
Proven experience as Restaurant Manager/ Assistant Manager/ Senior Supervisor in F&B
Strong leadership and people management skills
Hands-on, service-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Good communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia
Responsible, disciplined, detail-oriented
