Logistics Project Manager – Roles & Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Execution

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage end-to-end logistics projects
  • Define project scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget

2. Supply Chain Coordination

  • Oversee transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations
  • Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, freight forwarders, and internal teams
  • Ensure smooth flow of goods from origin to destination

3. Budget & Cost Control

  • Prepare and manage project budgets
  • Monitor logistics costs and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Ensure efficient utilization of resources

4. Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders
  • Provide regular project updates and reports
  • Handle issues, escalations, and client expectations

5. Risk Management

  • Identify potential risks in logistics operations
  • Develop contingency plans to minimize disruptions
  • Ensure compliance with local and international regulations

6. Process Improvement

  • Analyze logistics processes and implement improvements
  • Enhance efficiency, reduce delays, and optimize supply chain performance
  • Implement best practices and new technologies

7. Team Leadership

  • Lead and supervise logistics teams and project staff
  • Assign tasks and monitor team performance
  • Provide training and support where necessary

8. Documentation & Compliance

  • Ensure proper documentation for shipments and projects
  • Maintain compliance with customs, safety, and legal requirements
  • Prepare reports for management and regulatory authorities
