Job Duties
A. Administrative
1. Perform all dispensing related functions: checking and verifying orders, preparing, labeling and dispensing individual medications in accordance with doctor’s prescriptions, compounding injectable and non-injectable pharmaceutical preparation using proper aseptic technique
2. Contact physicians regarding any questions or irregularities regarding medication uses.
3. Document all recommendations and corrective actions taken
4. Assist the Pharmacist in collecting data on the use of antibiotics in the hospital to perform antibiotic stewardship activities.
5. Attend Team Conference in the absence of the Pharmacist, assisting the pharmacist in conducting medication management teaching, processing drug information inquiries and consulting patients and families on discharge medications.
6. Assist pharmacist in ward checks and stock- taking.
7. Serve as a resource to other departments for information related to medication use.
8. Consult with physician and nursing staff concerning availability, form, side effect and incompatibilities of currently available drugs
9. Assist the pharmacist to maintain pharmaceutical supplies/inventories and related activities which include and not limited to selection and procurement, storage and ordering to ensure compliance to all applicable Malaysia Laws, professional practice requirements and hospital policies.
10. Assist in ensuring availability of formulary drugs at the designated areas to ensure as possible, uninterrupted supply to meet patient needs.
11. Maintain the cleanliness, safety and security of work areas, equipment and dispensing tools to ensure organized and high quality of work.
B. Clinical
1. Problem solves service issues with tact and resourcefulness.
2. Ensures adherence to professional and legal standards.
3. Identifies the opportunity for new clinical programs based on community needs and participates in the development of new clinical programs as requested.
C. Quality Assurance Program
1. Assist in all Quality Assurance Program.
2. Participates in hospital patient safety, quality risk management and support quality improvement programs as appropriate.
3. Help to develops medication error and adverse drug reaction reporting program; monitors and analyses medication errors and provide regular report to relevant hospital committees.
4. Reports emerging risks, incidents, accidents, injuries and work-related as necessary.
D. Training
1. Actively pursues opportunities to learn about rehabilitation related diagnoses, services and technology both within ReGen and externally.
2. Assists the Pharmacist to develop training and drug education programs for internal and external clients.
E. Service Delivery
1. Displays exemplary patient/customer service and thereby retains accounts and referral sources.
2. Serves as an advocate and educates hospitals and communities on rehabilitation.
Minimum Skills
1. Degree in Pharmacy or its equivalent
2. Registered with the Pharmacy Board of Malaysia
Professional Experience / Minimum Requirements

4. Strong interpersonal skills an emotional intelligence
5. Computer Literate
6. Possess clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital or relevant healthcare setting
