To qualify you will need to meet the following criteria:
- Minimum Diploma or Degree holders in relevant field
- Minimum 1 years of experience, beginner/ junior Occupational Therapist are encouraged to apply
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Good English Mastery both written and verbal
- Open to commuting to and from client home(s) (for home-based therapy)
- Willing to work on weekends (working arrangement will include weekends and off-days will be on weekdays)
- Equipped with assessment kits or has access to assessments kits and tools for therapy, or willing to invest
- Able to work independently
- Open to ABA practices, particularly behavior management protocols
- Work well under pressure and open to feedback
- Value continuous learning and always looking for ways to do things better
- An objective thinker and a clear communicator
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting One to One and, or Group Occupational Therapy Session to Special Needs Children/Teens/ Adults
- Conducting Occupational Therapy assessment in, preparing and monitoring lesson plan and materials.
- Assure all materials and teaching aids are safe for student / clients’ usage and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the therapy room
- Conduct necessary intervention indoor and, or outdoor for the children
- Provides direct special needs care services to children with disabilities considering responses as related to functional adaptation to the environment and to children with delays in the areas of physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and adaptive development.
- Assist with areas of child's development, including thinking, emotions, behavior, sensory processing, social interactions, play, gross motor skills and fine motor skills.
- To help children with physical, psychological, intellectual or learning difficulties or disabilities.
- Develop fine motor skills so they can grasp and release toys and develop good handwriting or computer skill
- Helps kids play, improves their school performance, and aids their daily activities and master basic life skills
- Assist kids to learn positive behaviors and social skills by practicing how they manage frustration and anger
- Preparing and reviewing evaluations, progress notes/reports, educational progress, updating and maintaining client files.
- To conduct consultation, liaising and communicating effectively with parents or families and in oral and written formats in both formal and non-formal situations.
- Continuously upgrade knowledge and conduct continuous medical education with others and involve in research activities if necessary
- Assisting in children’s personal care if required
- Conduct and attend meetings if required
- To conduct intake meetings and consultations
Working Hours
- 5.5 days/week
- Sunday: Off day
- Monday: Half day

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
