Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Electrical Engineer role based in Singapore. The Electrical Engineer will design, analyze, and implement electrical systems and power distribution solutions for maritime and vessel-related projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing electrical drawings and schematics, performing load calculations, and ensuring compliance with relevant marine and electrical standards. The role involves coordinating with project managers, technicians, and external vendors for equipment selection, installation, testing, and commissioning. The Electrical Engineer will also support troubleshooting of electrical and power system issues, contribute to preventive maintenance planning, and prepare technical documentation and reports.
Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering and applied Electricity principles, with the ability to analyze and solve complex technical problems.
  • Proficiency in Electrical Design for industrial or marine applications, including schematics, layouts, and load calculations.
  • Hands-on experience with Power Distribution and Power Systems, including protection, grounding, and system reliability.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Familiarity with relevant marine standards, classification society rules, and safety regulations is an advantage.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and manuals, and to prepare clear documentation and reports.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate on-site with cross-functional and multicultural teams.
  • Prior experience in maritime, offshore, or industrial engineering environments is preferred.
