About the role

REDtone Digital Berhad is looking for a proactive and technically skilled Network Engineer to join our growing team based in Puchong, Selangor.

In this full-time role, you will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing REDtone's network infrastructure and services. You will play a key role in ensuring network reliability, security, and performance by implementing best practices, automating operational tasks, and maintaining uninterrupted network and system services. You will also collaborate closely with cross-functional operations teams to facilitate seamless network delivery and service excellence.

What you'll be doing

• Provide network requirement details and technical specifications for systems to be established.

• Configure, operate, and maintain network devices and firewalls based on industry-standard best practices.

• Evaluate and review new technologies and solutions to improve network resilience and performance.

• Prepare reports and documentation for ongoing tasks, system changes, and implementation activities.

• Monitor and ensure hardware is properly maintained and operating efficiently.

• Monitor network performance and ensure compliance with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA).

• Perform network monitoring, analysis, troubleshooting, and performance tuning activities.

• Escalate and coordinate complex technical issues with vendors when necessary.

• Support network operations and perform related duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• Knowledge and hands-on experience with networking protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, FTP, HTTP, VLAN, and VPN.

• Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, ACSA, or HCNA will be an added advantage.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Microsoft Azure will be an added advantage.

• Familiarity with LAN, wireless technologies, internet services, broadband routers, Cisco routers/switches, firewalls, and wireless devices is an added advantage

Additional Requirements

• Willing to travel and possess own transportation.

• Willing to work at customer premises and project sites when required.

• Able to work on standby and provide support outside normal working hours when necessary.
