Role: Senior Quality Control Assistant

Location: Kajang, Selangor

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and quality-focused individual to join our Quality Control team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring that raw materials, packaging materials, in-process products, and finished goods meet established quality standards and specifications. You will work closely with Production, Warehouse, and Quality teams to maintain product quality, support compliance requirements, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform incoming quality inspections on raw and packaging materials according to established specifications and checklist requirements, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.

• Conduct in-process quality control (IPQC) and finished goods inspections on filling and packing lines for all manufacturing batches.

• Apply QC approval labels to finished goods and third-party finished goods upon successful release and verification.

• Verify colour weighing activities performed by dispensing personnel on a daily basis.

• Prepare and submit monthly Quality Control reports to the immediate superior in a timely manner.

• Maintain proper documentation and filing of Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

• Identify, segregate, and promptly report any non-conforming materials or products detected during inspection and testing activities for immediate corrective action.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending and implementing enhancements to QC procedures, inspection processes, and product quality standards.

• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by Management or immediate superior from time to time.

Key Experience, Skills & Knowledge

• Minimum a Diploma in Science or a related discipline.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Quality Control environment; experience in FMCG, skincare, or personal care manufacturing industries will be an added advantage.

• Good knowledge of laboratory equipment, raw and packaging material inspection, in-process quality control (IPQC), and finished goods inspection procedures.

• Detail-oriented, results-driven, and able to work under pressure with strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Able to multitask effectively and respond promptly to ad hoc assignments and operational requirements.
