Company Description JustRight Child Occupational Therapy Centre provides occupational therapy services for children and adolescents, focusing on evaluations and treatment to enhance daily performance and independence. The team works closely with families to support functional skills needed at home, school, and in the community. Services are tailored to each child’s individual needs and developmental stage. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Speech Therapist role based in Butterworth. The Speech Therapist will assess, diagnose, and treat children and adolescents with speech, language, and communication challenges, including those with swallowing or feeding concerns. Daily responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering one-on-one or small-group therapy sessions. The role also involves documenting progress, preparing reports, and adjusting interventions as needed. The Speech Therapist will collaborate closely with occupational therapists, educators, and families to support integrated care, provide caregiver training, and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated competence in Speech Therapy, including assessment and intervention for pediatric clients.
  • Ability to address Speech and Communication Disorders using evidence-based approaches.
  • Experience working with Language Disorders across receptive and expressive domains.
  • Knowledge and clinical skills in managing Dysphagia and feeding-related concerns in children and adolescents.
  • Recognized degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent, with valid professional registration or eligibility as required by local regulations.
  • Experience in pediatric or school-based settings and familiarity with interdisciplinary care are highly beneficial.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with families and team members.
  • Commitment to ethical, inclusive, and culturally responsive practice, and openness to ongoing learning and supervision.
