Duties and Responsibilities

• Identifying potential hazards and risks in the workplace and developing strategies to mitigate them.
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety laws, regulations, and standards.
• Developing, implementing, and maintaining safety policies, procedures, and programs.
• Providing safety training to employees on various hazards, procedures, and emergency protocols.
• Investigating workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Maintaining accurate records of inspections, investigations, and training programs.
• Communicating safety information to employees and management.
• Conducting regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Promoting a strong safety culture within the organization by encouraging safe work practices and behaviors.
• Inspecting machinery, equipment, and processes to identify risks.
• Developing and implementing emergency response plans.
• Ensuring that all employees are aware of their responsibilities under the Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA 2022) law.
• Working with HR to develop new employee onboarding programs for safety.

Qualifications & Experience

• Must possess at least a Professional Certificate in Safety and Health or equivalent.
• Must registered with JKKP / NIOSH or in the process of qualifying for Green Book.
• Has CePSWAM for schedule waste management is preferable.
• At least 3 year(s) of working experience in Safety and Healths is required for this position.
• Require language(s): Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Computer knowledge in Microsoft Application.
• Work under strict timeline and minimum supervision.
• Team player and able to lead and implement OSH program.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From RM2,500.00 per month
