Responsibilities

I-PEX Singapore Pte. Ltd. was incorporated in 1979 and is a subsidiary of I-PEX Co., Ltd which is headquartered in Kyoto, Japan. We are specialising in the manufacturing of precision plastic parts and fine-pitch electronics connectors.

Job Summary

The Engineer is responsible for the engineering support to production to ensure the machines are able to achieve the department target. In addition, he/she needs to ensure the machine operation standard & product quality specification is achieved.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the production team to identify and resolve manufacturing defects, ensuring smooth production flow and meeting department targets
  • Support maintenance activities for stamping die sets to maintain optimal condition for mass production readiness
  • Serve as a technical expert on stamping processes, machines, and die sets by providing targeted training to production staff to enhance their technical skills and operational efficiency
  • Evaluate stamping processes, die sets, production downtime, and cost factors to propose and implement improvements that increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Apply process control techniques to eliminate internal quality issues and resolve customer complaints, ensuring product quality standards are consistently met
  • Ensure stamping production complies with good manufacturing practices and relevant regulatory requirements through systematic monitoring and corrective actions
  • Utilize technical expertise to design and develop product prototypes that meet quality and functional specifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to resolving production challenges
  • Exhibit tenacity and a continuous learning mindset to adapt and improve processes
  • Communicate effectively and listen actively to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Work independently as a self-starter while contributing positively as a collaborative team member
  • Take pride in delivering high-quality work and show passion for achieving success
