At PARKROYAL A’Famosa Melaka Resort, the Bellman is a front-line ambassador. Since this is a premium resort environment, the role focuses heavily on the "first and last impression" of the guest experience.
Job Description: Bellman
The primary responsibility is to provide a seamless arrival and departure experience while maintaining the security and flow of the lobby.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Welcome: Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with unloading luggage from vehicles.
- Luggage Handling: Securely transport guest luggage to and from rooms using bell carts. Provide a brief room orientation (explaining lighting, AC, and amenities).
- Information Hub: Act as a local expert, providing directions and recommendations for resort facilities (water park, safari, golf course) and Melaka attractions.
- Transportation Coordination: Assist guests in hailing taxis, booking e-hailing services, or coordinating the resort’s internal shuttle services.
- Lobby Maintenance: Ensure the main entrance and lobby area remain clean, organized, and clear of obstructions.
- Storage Management: Manage the luggage storage room, ensuring all items are properly tagged and logged.
Requirements:
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift/push heavy luggage.
- Communication: Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is typically required to assist international and local tourists.
- Soft Skills: A proactive "service-first" attitude and a polished, professional appearance.
- Education: Generally requires a secondary school diploma (SPM); a certificate in Hospitality/Tourism is a plus but rarely mandatory for entry-level.
Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
