Responsibilities
- Designs Keysight products and specifies the components that make up the products.
- Designs and develops products, components, processes, and systems using broad engineering concepts and research techniques. Documents research and design specifications. Solves complex and high-impact design and development problems, including customer application issues of varying scope and complexity. The design process adheres to the specifications for FPGA subsystems and interconnections.
- Evaluates and selects suitable FPGA solutions with optimized speed, size, and cost to meet the design requirements.
- Develops FPGA codes, perform simulation/synthesis, and implement the FPGA hardware solution into the electronic system
- Performs characterization and testing of design prototypes and analyzes and validates the design to meet product performance specifications.
- To lead in technical discussion, design review to make technical judgments on critical issue resolution as well as new design architectural and technical decisions.
- Able to communicate with cross-competency design teams, system architects, and project managers to evaluate customer requirements, to recommend the effective design approach, to estimate resource requirements, and to integrate the overall development plan.
- Constantly on the search and innovation of new methods/technologies/solutions to elevate design competency for test & measurement products
Qualifications
- The candidate must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering, or an equivalent degree.
- The candidate must have a minimum of five years of relevant experience for this position.
- The candidate should possess experience in designing FPGA/ASIC and implementing it at the system level.
- The candidate should possess experience in VHDL/Verilog coding, logic simulation, and synthesis, as well as familiarity with design tools such as Xilinx Vivado/ISE, Altera Quartus, Modelsim, and Synplify Pro.
- The candidate should have a solid understanding of basic electronics and system design, the ability to test and validate using test equipment, and the ability to solve problems.
- The candidate should demonstrate teamwork, a strong desire to learn, a strong passion, and a forward-thinking mindset.
