Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the project's Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) system.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, method statements, and material submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks on fit-out works including architectural, interior finishes, joinery, ceilings, partitions, flooring, painting, and related works.
• Prepare and submit Inspection Request (IR) and ensure inspections are carried out as per project requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and site teams regarding quality-related matters.
• Monitor workmanship and materials used on site to ensure compliance with approved standards and specifications.
• Identify non-conformance issues (NCR), recommend corrective actions, and monitor their implementation and closure.
• Maintain quality records, inspection reports, testing records, and project documentation.
• Conduct internal quality audits and site inspections to ensure adherence to quality procedures.
• Verify and monitor mock-up installations and sample approvals prior to mass implementation.
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates on quality performance and issues.
• Assist in project handover by preparing quality documentation, snagging reports, and defect rectification records.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards and company quality management procedures where applicable.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in QA/QC for interior fit-out, renovation, or construction projects.
• Familiarity with fit-out materials, finishes, and installation methods.
• Knowledge of QA/QC procedures, inspection processes, and quality documentation.
• Experience in handling IR, NCR, WIR, material inspections, and quality audits.
• Good understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction documentation.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: From RM4,000.00 per month
