The IT Project Manager is responsible for leading the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of technology projects within the banking environment. The role involves managing project scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, vendors, and stakeholders while ensuring compliance with banking regulations, security standards, and governance requirements.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Management

• Manage end-to-end project delivery from initiation to post-implementation support.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and success criteria.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Ensure project milestones are achieved according to agreed timelines.

Stakeholder Management

• Engage business users, senior management, technology teams, and external vendors.
• Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and steering committee sessions.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide regular project status updates to management and stakeholders.

Project Delivery

• Coordinate activities across business, application, infrastructure, security, and testing teams.
• Manage project dependencies and critical paths.
• Monitor project progress and resolve issues impacting delivery.
• Ensure projects meet quality, security, and performance requirements.

Risk & Issue Management

• Identify project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
• Develop mitigation and contingency plans.
• Escalate critical risks and issues to sponsors and governance committees.
• Maintain project risk and issue registers.

Budget & Resource Management

• Manage project budgets, forecasts, and expenditure.
• Track project costs and resource utilization.
• Coordinate internal and external project resources.
• Ensure optimal allocation of project resources.

Vendor Management

• Manage system integrators, software vendors, and service providers.
• Monitor vendor deliverables and contractual obligations.
• Coordinate procurement and vendor onboarding activities.
• Evaluate vendor performance and service quality.

Testing & Implementation

• Oversee:
• System Integration Testing (SIT)
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Performance Testing
• Security Testing
• Coordinate deployment, cutover, and production implementation activities.
• Ensure proper transition to support and operations teams.

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to:

• Regulatory requirements
• Internal audit standards
• Prepare documentation for governance reviews and audits.
