Kerja Sepenuh Masa, Facilities Engineer (Chargeman AO) di Kobay Technology Berhad Pulau Pinang - Maukerja

Responsibilities:

• Competent Person: Act as the registered Chargeman A0 for the facility to supervise and control all low-voltage electrical installations.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all electrical engineering and plant operations strictly adhere to the Electricity Supply Act 1990 and Electricity Regulations 1994.
• Authority Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact to liaise with Suruhanjaya Tenaga on all audit, certification, and compliance matters.
• Documentation: Properly maintain and update statutory operation logbooks, maintenance records, and regulatory compliance files required by law.
• System Maintenance: Perform routine inspection, troubleshooting, and rapid repair works on low-voltage electrical systems and equipment to minimize downtime.
• Preventive Maintenance (PM): Plan and execute PM schedules for the plant’s electrical distribution boards, sub-stations, and facilities infrastructure.
• Vendor Management: Supervise external service providers, suppliers, and contractors during engineering, upgrading, or testing projects.
• Safety Partnership: Collaborate with the EHS Officer to maintain a safe, zero-hazard workplace for all employees.
• Emergency Response: Lead protocols regarding electrical safety, including first aid and resuscitation treatments for electrical accidents.
• Continuous Improvement: Support plant energy management initiatives, factory utility layouts, and continuous facility improvement projects.

Requirements:

• Official Statutory Requirements (ST Regulation 49)
• Certification: Must possess a valid Perakuan Kekompetenan Chargeman A0 actively registered with Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
• Language Proficiency: Fluent in spoken and written Bahasa Malaysia (required for official regulatory interactions).
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on working experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment controlling live equipment and operating electrical systems.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Electricity Supply Act 1990, factory safety guidelines, and proven knowledge of first aid/resuscitation for electrical shock.
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills for electrical faults.
• Strong sense of accountability and awareness of legal responsibilities under Section 23 of the Act.
