Position: Project Finance Manager (Renewable Energy)

Location: Petaling Jaya, Malaysia

Responsibilities

• Support the origination, evaluation, and development of Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solar opportunities across Malaysia
• Develop and maintain financial models for solar projects, including project feasibility assessments, cash flow forecasting, sensitivity analysis, and investment evaluations
• Conduct financial due diligence, valuation, and risk assessments to support investment and project development decisions
• Support the commercial and business development teams in presenting project financial viability and value propositions to prospective clients and stakeholders
• Evaluate project economics, including IRR, NPV, payback period, savings analysis, and financing structures to ensure commercially viable project outcomes
• Assist in structuring and negotiating commercial arrangements, including PPAs, EPCs, financing agreements, and other project-related contracts
• Prepare investment papers, management reports, project approval materials, and presentations for internal stakeholders and clients
• Support project financing activities, including engagement with financial institutions, lenders, investors, and relevant stakeholders
• Monitor project financial performance throughout the project lifecycle and identify potential financial risks and mitigation measures
• Collaborate closely with engineering, legal, project development, and operations teams to ensure financial assumptions and project deliverables are aligned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, Engineering, or a related discipline. Professional qualifications such as CFA, ACCA, CPA, or MBA are advantageous
• 3–5 years of experience in Project Finance, Corporate Finance, Investment Analysis, Financial Modelling, Transaction Advisory, or Infrastructure Financing
• Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical capabilities with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in renewable energy (solar C&I), infrastructure, or energy services industries
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to assess project risks, returns, and investment opportunities
