  • Hold a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, or a relevant discipline.
  • Show expertise in creating and executing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) customized to meet the specific needs of each child.
  • Effectively communicate in English to ensure smooth interactions with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including speech-language therapists, occupational therapists, and other specialists, to provide holistic support to children.
  • Exhibit a strong enthusiasm for engaging with young children and a dedication to promoting their growth and development in a caring and supportive atmosphere.

Responsibilities

Bconnect Speech Therapy And Development Centre Sdn. Bhd. is currently looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Early Interventionist to become part of our committed team in Kuala Lumpur and Melaka. In this full-time position, you will provide individualized early intervention services for children with special needs, aiding their cognitive, physical, communication, and social-emotional growth.

Responsibilities include

  • Creating and executing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) customized to fit the specific needs of each child, ensuring they align with developmental objectives and learning preferences.
  • Facilitating small group sessions with a teacher-to-student ratio of 1:3.
  • Delivering direct instruction and early intervention services targeting areas such as language acquisition, cognitive development, social-emotional skills, daily living activities, and motor skills.
  • Working closely with parents, caregivers, and other professionals (such as speech and occupational therapists) to establish a nurturing and integrated learning setting for each child.
  • Tracking and assessing student progress, collecting data and modifying intervention techniques as necessary to ensure favorable outcomes and achievement of IEP objectives.
  • Keeping thorough and current records of student evaluations, progress reports, and communications with parents and professionals, while following confidentiality protocols and ethical practices.
  • Engaging in professional development opportunities to remain updated on best practices in special education and early intervention, enhancing your knowledge and skills to better support students and families.
  • Designing enjoyable and engaging learning activities and materials that are developmentally appropriate and aligned with the curriculum, promoting a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Effectively communicating with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on student progress, offering guidance and support, and collaborating on strategies to encourage learning and development at home.
