We are seeking a highly motivated, accountable, and financially astute Assistant Manager to join our Procurement team.
Job Responsibilities:
You will be leading the end-to-end tendering and procurement activities for construction, infrastructure, and fit-out projects, ensuring compliance with company policies and governance requirements.
- Required expertise in both construction procurement and tender administration
- Prepare, review, and manage tender documents, Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Requests for Quotation (RFQs), and bid evaluation reports.
- Reviewing BOQs and pricing schedules
- Conducting commercial evaluations
- Coordinate tender clarification meetings, site visits, and negotiations with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor market trends, construction costs, and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost optimization and continuous improvement.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Prepare procurement reports, management presentations, and tender recommendation papers for management review and approval.
- Mentor and guide junior procurement personnel, contributing to team capability development and knowledge sharing.
Job Requirements:
- Good degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Procurement/Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. Has minimum 4 years working experience with at least 2 years in construction related procurement.
- Applicants with Diploma in Quantity Surveying can also apply, with minimum 4 years construction related procurement experience in medium to large organisations.
- Good commercial acumen, demonstrate sound business judgment in assessing costs, risks and contractual obligations
- Able to effectively manage multiple tenders, procurement activities, and project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
