Role Summary

The Endoscopy Unit Manager is responsible for the operational, clinical, financial, and quality management of the endoscopy department. The role ensures safe, efficient, and patient-centered care while maintaining compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership

• Oversee daily operations of the endoscopy unit.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality patient care before, during, and after procedures.
• Develop and implement clinical policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Monitor infection prevention and patient safety standards.

Staff Management

• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate nursing and support staff.
• Manage staffing schedules and workforce planning.
• Support staff development, competency assessments, and continuing education.
• Address performance and disciplinary issues as needed.

Operational Management

• Coordinate procedure scheduling and patient flow.
• Ensure adequate availability of equipment, instruments, and supplies.
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Manage equipment maintenance and service schedules.

Quality & Compliance

• Monitor quality indicators and patient outcomes.
• Lead audits, incident investigations, and corrective action plans.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.

Financial Management

• Prepare and manage departmental budgets.
• Monitor costs, resource utilization, and productivity.
• Participate in procurement and inventory management.

Patient Experience

• Address patient concerns and complaints.
• Promote patient satisfaction and service excellence.
• Ensure effective patient education and informed consent processes.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license (or equivalent local registration).
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• 8 years of endoscopy, perioperative, or procedural-services experience.
• 2–3 years of leadership or management experience.
• Post Basic Qualification in Endoscopy Nursing is a must
