We are seeking like-minded professionals to join us as an Application & Service Engineer to provide technical and proposal support to the sales organization. The role involves supporting the preparation of commercial proposals, handling customer enquiries, and providing technical clarification across instrumentation, automation, valves, pipes, and fittings solutions.
In addition, the position includes on-site responsibilities such as commissioning, troubleshooting, and service support, ensuring effective execution and high-quality customer engagement. The role combines both advisory and hands-on activities across the sales and project lifecycle
Main tasks
Proposal Preparation & Technical Review
- Support preparation of commercial proposals in SAP based on customer requirements
- Interpret RFQs, specifications, and drawings to ensure proposal accuracy
- Perform basic technical sizing and product selection
- Assist in proposal documentation for tenders
- Support follow-up on quotations where required
Customer Enquiry Management
- Respond to customer enquiries (technical and commercial) via email/online channels
- Clarify and verify technical requirements for RFQs and projects
- Recommend suitable product solutions and alternatives
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders for information gathering
Technical Support (Automation & Instrumentation) (15%)
- Provide remote technical advisory on valves, actuators, and instrumentation
- Support product selection, application suitability, and specifications
- Review datasheets and technical documentation
- Escalate complex engineering issues when required
Project & Tender Coordination
- Support Key Account Managers in technical alignment for tenders
- Assist in ensuring completeness of proposal submissions
- Coordinate internally on timelines and documentation
Collaboration & Reporting
- Work with sales and technical teams to support proposal activities
- Provide updates on assigned tasks and deliverables
- Maintain proper documentation of work completed
Training & Onboarding Support
- Conduct remote training sessions for new hires on GF Valves & Measurement portfolio
- Support first-level onboarding by providing practical product knowledge beyond e-learning materials
- Develop and/or deliver basic training materials (slides, walkthroughs, case examples) where required
- Ensure new joiners have a clear understanding of product applications, selection, and positioning
- Collaborate with Sales and HR to align training content with business needs
Job Requirements, Skills and Qualifications
- Degree in Chemical, Electrical, Electronic Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in M&E consulting, OEM, EPC, or similar industries
- Basic knowledge of measurement and control systems (e.g., flow, pH, conductivity, liquid analysis)
- Experience with actuated valves (pneumatic and/or electric)
- Exposure to, or willingness to develop expertise in GF products and their applications
- Experience in field servicing, commissioning, and project execution
- Familiarity with skid systems or integrated solutions is an advantage
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Interest in developing commercial and business development capabilities
